CRUSH CRASH is a multidisciplinary dance project which will premiere as a site-specific performance during DANSAND! on Friday the 27th and Saturday 28th of June. Long time collaborators Aliki and Danae will present a fragment of their work based on their personal relationship to movement, as an ode to dance, its harshness and beauty, whatever it may hold, contain or sustain. 

Inspired by the vastness of the Oostende beach landscape, the performers have built a scenography which relates to the connotations, meanings and impact of the similar sounding words 'crash' and 'crush'. Their repetitive movement and soundscapes are intertwined with literal and metaphorical associations, cinematic images and meanings. 

This is a first version of the work, as Aliki and Danae intend to continue developing this project further into a dance performance.
