Protist Reverie is a live, full-dome performance presenting an ongoing computational experiment in Digital Matter. In this art-science hybrid, Digital Life unfolds in real time, in the form of emergent behaviors inspired by the organism Physarum Polycephalum. Algorithmic motion and sonic textures merge into an organic, ever-evolving landscape. The visuals follow a cycle of Birth, Destruction, and Resurrection, responding to artificial stimuli and real-time audio. Musician Saber Rider crafts an generative, improvisational soundscape, creating a dialogue between code and composition, instinct and structure. Exploring the tension between self and external forces, Protist Reverie is a meditative audiovisual study of adaptation, transformation, and symbiosis.
